Six Tri-County Teams to Play in TSSAA Spring Fling

Six local high school baseball and softball teams are headed to Murfreesboro this week to participate in the TSSAA State Championship Series. McKenzie Rebels Baseball, Huntingdon Mustangs Baseball, Huntingdon Fillies Softball, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Lady Tigers Softball, Westview Lady Chargers Softball and Henry County Lady Patriots Softball will take the field Tuesday afternoon in the double elimination tournament.
In baseball, McKenzie defeated Richland High School twice in a double-header on Wednesday, May 15 to earn a spot in the 1A tournament. Huntingdon defeated Summertown High School twice in a double-header on Thursday, May 16 to earn a spot in the 2A tournament.
In softball, Huntingdon beat Summertown on Friday, May 17 to earn a spot in the 2A tournament. Hollow Rock-Bruceton beat Eagleville on Saturday, May 18 to earn a spot in the 1A tournament. Westview beat Trezevant on Friday, May 18 to earn a spot in the 2A tournament. Henry County beat Houston High School on Sunday, May 19 to earn a spot in the 4A tournament.
The McKenzie Rebels play Gordonsville in the opening round on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Rockvale High School. The Huntingdon Mustangs play Smith County in the opening round on Tuesday, May 21 at 4 p.m. at Stewarts Creek.
The Huntingdon Fillies open Tuesday, May 21 against Westmoreland at 3 p.m. at McKnight Park, field #3. The Hollow Rock-Bruceton Lady Tigers open Tuesday, May 21 against Jo Byrnes at 2 p.m. at the StarPlex, field #1. The Westview Lady Chargers open Tuesday, May 21 against Liberty Creek at 3 p.m. at McKnight Park, field #2. The Henry County Lady Patriots open Tuesday, May 21 at 1 p.m. at McKnight Park, field #2 against the winner of Knoxville Halls.
Spectator Information: 2024 Baseball Championship
Admission — Tickets are $12 per day if purchased in advance online through GoFan. Tickets are $15 per day if purchased with cash at the gate. School-age children and older are required to have a ticket. TACA cards will be honored when presented with a matching photo ID. The TSSAA/TMSAA ID card will NOT be accepted for admission. School administrators who are registered on the TSSAA Portal can sign-in for free admission at the pass gate.
Parking — Parking is $5 per day. Patrons will receive a parking pass that will be accepted at all Spring Fling venues for the rest of the day.
Coach and Participant Entry — Coaches must wear their TSSAA-provided credential or pay admission. Only coaches recognized by the member school and TSSAA will be provided credentials. Coaches will sign in participants at each venue. At team events, participants will be admitted as a team only.
Coolers — Coolers are not permitted inside the facility.
Concessions — Concessions are available for purchase inside the facility.
