From the Apr 15, 2025 e-EditionMrs. Sue E. Cary, 95, of Yuma, Tennessee died Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at her home.
Funeral services were Saturday, April 12, 2025 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating, Burial was in Jamison Cemetery.
Mrs. Cary was born on January 18, 1930, in Yuma, Tennessee, to the late Tolbert Williams and Theo Dosha (Grissom) Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Cary, two sons, Larry Cary and Kenneth Harris, two brothers, J.T. Williams and George C. Williams, and four sisters: Minnie Webb, Irene Gatlin, Ruby Willis, and Betty Carey.
She is Survived by a son, Ricky Cary of Yuma, her caretaker and granddaughter Amanda McCracken of Camden, two daughters-in-law, Peggy Crawford of Westport, and Donna Harris of Washington, Illinois, a brother, Les Williams of Washington, Illinois, three grandchildren, Amanda McCracken (Christopher Jordan), Greg Harris (Fonda), Chad Harris (Zoe), she also leaves behind six great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
