SUSAN MILLS

1964 — 2026

GEORGIA — Ms. Susan Mills, age 62, of Jasper, Georgia, died on April 5, 2026 - Easter Sunday. She was born on January 7, 1964, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to the late O'Neal Chandler and Mildred Frazee.

Susan spent the last 35 years of her life with her husband, Tom, building a life and family grounded in love, steadiness, and the simple joys she cherished most. She loved being at home and found deep peace in the land she lived on. Whether she was sitting on her big front porch taking in the view, watching the birds in her garden, feeding the deer that wandered by, or riding down her long driveway, Susan never took a moment for granted.  She admired nature and constantly praised God for His creations. She adored animals, especially her dogs and her horses, and she had a special way of making every creature feel cared for. Susan was a true people person. Her career as a pharmacist was more than a mere occupation, it was her calling. She loved sending greeting cards "just because," and she had a gift for making others feel remembered. Above all, she worshipped the Lord and loved her family with her whole heart. Her absence will be deeply felt by everyone who knew and loved her.

“She loves to laugh, she loves to sing, she does everything. She loves to move, she loves to groove, she loves the loving things.”

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Susan is survived by her husband, Thomas Mills; her children, Katherine Mills and fiancé Isaiah Patterson, Lauren and Jake Bolton, Phillip and Kristyn Mills, Jefferey and Aurelie Mills; her grandchildren, Ryan Bolton, Alexis Bolton, Olivia Mills, Grant Mills, Oliver Mills, and Henry Mills. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Carlina Chandler, and her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Virgil Bush, of McKenzie, Tenn.

The family will hold a celebration of Susan's life on Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Cagle Funeral Home of Jasper Georgia is proudly serving the family of Ms. Susan Mills. +
