TCAT Construction Temporarily Closes Highland Entrance
From the Mar 31, 2026 e-Edition
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Henry/Carroll’s McKenzie campus is still under construction, but sources say that the renovation project should be completely wrapped up by the end of April.
In the meantime, TCAT Henry/Carroll Vice President Jan Latimer warns that the McKenzie campus’s front driveway off Highland Drive is closed to all traffic for approximately two weeks starting Tuesday, March 31.
Construction work on that driveway is reportedly one of the last steps in the campus-wide renovation project.
Anyone wishing to visit the McKenzie campus needs to enter from the school’s back entrance, which can be accessed off of Highway 22 to Medical Center Drive or off Eastwood Drive.
