Thank You
From the Oct 1, 2024 e-EditionThank you to everyone that attended the Centennial Business Coffee on September 18. It was such a blessing to see you all. We loved welcoming you into our business and spending time together.
I’ve tried to find the words to show our gratitude for this honor and for the people that came to celebrate with us.
All I can say is, WOW. We are so blessed.
It was only a moment that went by so quickly, but to share it with city, county and state officials and the business people, our friends, neighbors, and extended family... this moment will be cherished for the rest of our lives.
Thank you for being attending.
Those that weren’t able to make it, we felt the love from you all as well. Thank you for thinking of us.
Metaphorically speaking, if this is a mountain we’re climbing... any progress we’ve made is because of the community that has supported us.
Support is so many things and your support has made this business possible.
The legacy of the newspaper was built on the stories of your families and the hours of dedication from veteran newspaper staff members.
154 years of people choosing this newspaper... all that time that has been invested... thank you for reading.
Thank you for welcoming us into your home.
Thank you for making us feel like part of the family.
It is an honor to serve you.
I hope you always know how much we appreciate you.
You are so loved.

P.S. To commemorate this special occasion, we unveiled a new sign by our front door (printed in-house) ...and it reads...
“Recognized as a Tennessee Centennial Business by Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.
This newspaper has been in continuous operation for over 100 years, a milestone made possible by loyal patrons and dedicated staff. A heartfelt thank you to all who have invested in this business. It is an honor to serve you.”
