The Jackson Symphony Coming to Huntingdon's Court Square
From the Jun 9, 2026 e-Edition
HUNTINGDON — The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center invites the community to enjoy an unforgettable evening of live orchestral music on Tuesday, June 23, as The Jackson Symphony presents “Symphony on the Move” on Huntingdon's Court Square.
This free, family-friendly outdoor concert is open to the public and designed to bring world-class symphonic music directly to the heart of the community. The concert begins at 6:30 p.m.
Set in a relaxed, open-air setting, guests are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of music under the summer sky.
A selection of food trucks will be available on-site, offering convenient dining options throughout the performance.
Road closures around the Carroll County Courthouse begin at 5 p.m., and patrons are welcome to begin arriving at that time to set up blankets and chairs ahead of the concert.
The evening features a special performance by acclaimed vocalist Joshua Carswell, who is known for his dynamic stage presence, expressive tenor voice and genre-defying original work. Carswell’s music blends emotional storytelling with cinematic pop arrangements, drawing from his newest album Innerspace.
“I want to give the audience an emotional catharsis," Carswell said. "It’s the thing I love most about music: its ability to unlock the heart.”
With a decade of touring experience and multiple vocal honors, Carswell continues to be recognized for his ability to connect deeply with audiences through both power and intimacy.
