From the Jul 30, 2024 e-EditionHUNTINGDON - Mr. Thomas Moody, 95, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Friday, July 26, 2024, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were Monday July 29, 2024 at Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Brother James Keen, Brother Clint Ezell and Brother Jeff Moody officiating.
Mr. Moody was born February 5, 1929, to the late John Clements Moody and Elsie Hampton Moody. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Moody, who died July 25, 2017. He retired from Publix Shirt and was a member of Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter, Alexis (James) Stallcup of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one son, Tommy (late wife Barbara) Moody of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one sister, Peggy Knapton of Castleberry, Florida; four grandchildren, Amanda Hurley, Rebecca (Brad) Smith, Chad (Kim) Byars, and Christy (Danny) Allen; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Dilday-Carter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements 731-986-8281.
