TREZEVANT (May 13) — The Trezevant Board of Mayor and Aldermen appointed 10 individuals to join the Town of Trezevant's newly-reconstituted Industrial Development Board (IDB) and determined their term limits during a voting process Tuesday, May 12.

The reconstituted IDB's first appointed members are Johnna Crouse (two-year term), Wes Gulley (two-year term), Kyle Foster (four-year term), Eddie Granger (four-year term), Jimmy Kelly (four-year term), Tim Pratt (four-year term), Janet Dickson (six-year term), Rita Foster (six-year term), Terry Schall (six-year term) and Bobby McAlexander (six-year term).

The ten individuals' terms began Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

The Trezevant Board of Mayor and Aldermen formally reconstituted the town's long-dormant IDB in January 2026. In the months since, the board has determined the responsibilities and term limits for the new members.

The Trezevant IDB is expected to promote industry, trade, commerce, tourism and recreation, agriculture, housing and construction in the town of Trezevant. Members must follow the Open Meetings Act and properly advertise their meetings to the public before making any IDB-related decisions.

The IDB requires at least seven members and a maximum of 12 members, appointed by the Trezevant Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Once appointed, the members will serve for staggered terms — two, four and six years — with the ability to be reappointed.

The board determined that individuals do not have to live in Trezevant, pay Trezevant taxes or be qualified voters in Trezevant to join the Trezevant IDB.

In March, several individuals signed up for consideration. Interested individuals then underwent interviews with the Trezevant Board of Mayor and Aldermen before undergoing an orientation process led by the University of Tennessee’s Municipal Technical Advisory Service (MTAS).

The IDB is soon expected to address the transfer and rezoning of the former Hillsman property located adjacent to Pat's Restaurant on Highway 79.
