From the Feb 10, 2026 e-Edition
McKENZIE (February 7) — Carroll Arts, Inc. hosted its annual Trivia Bowl Saturday at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with eleven teams competing for trophies and bragging rights.
Teams were put through a tough gauntlet of trivia questions from a wide range of categories to determine the winners.
Judges for the event were Scott Armpriest and Eric Teas, and this reporter served as emcee for the night.
With tight scores at the top of the leaderboard, the team “Lettuce Win” (McKenzie Senior Citizens Center) took first place.
In second was “Fabulous 6” (Barnett family), and “The Inglenookers” (Inglenook Book Club) finished in third place.
The Trivia Bowl was the first of many regular events hosted by Carroll Arts throughout the year.
Next is the High School Celebration of the Arts in April. An Evening with Carroll Arts is in June, followed by Creativity Camp in July.
August brings the Southern Fried Funnies (part of the Sweet Tea Festival). In September, Carroll Arts Storytelling is part of the Huntingdon Heritage Festival.
The year wraps up with A Mistletoe Christmas in December.
