Turkey Trot Raises Funds for Those in Need
From the Dec 3, 2024 e-Edition
HUNTINGDON (November 28) — The 13th Annual Turkey Trot was held in downtown Huntingdon to raise funds for those who need assistance in the area.
It is a run or walk, by humans, each Thanksgiving morning as a way to memorialize the late Lori Pearson, who contributed so much to the Carroll County community and was much beloved. The late teacher, mentor, taught at McKenzie Middle School.
The Never Quit fund was established in the memory of the late Huntingdon resident. It has raised over $100,000 in its 13-year history.
On Thursday, the American Legion post and Huntingdon Middle School made donations to the fund.
