District 13-1A Boys Basketball Tournament
War Eagles Bow Out in Opening Round
From the Feb 24, 2026 e-EditionHALLS (February 17) — The West Carroll High School War Eagles saw their season end Tuesday with a 71-28 loss to Halls in the opening round of the District 13-1A Boys Basketball Tournament.
The host Tigers jumped out to a 25-6 lead after the first frame, pushed to 45-16 at the half. Halls had a 14-9 edge in the third and capped the win with a 12-3 tilt in the final frame.
Skyler Wilhite led West Carroll with eleven points, including a trio of three-pointers. Chandler Rimmer scored six points, and Bryler O’Neal had four with a three. Isaiah Snyder scored three points, and Demarion Gilbert and Trey Williamson each had a pair.
Tiger Ta’Miyon Gooch led all scorers with 16 points.
