War Eagles Fall to South Fulton in Season Finale
From the Nov 4, 2025 e-EditionATWOOD (October 31) — West Carroll High School wrapped up their football season Friday with a 17-0 loss to region opponent South Fulton.
The visiting Red Devils scored a touchdown in the first quarter and added a field goal and another TD in the second frame.
South Fulton had 270 total yards of offense, 188 on the ground and 82 in the air. West Carroll had 179 total yards, 160 rushing and 19 passing.
War Eagle quarterback Caleb Vermillion was 1 of 3 passing for 19 yards, with Joseph Brogdon making the lone catch.
Mason Taylor led West Carroll rushing with 126 yards on 26 carries. Brogdon ran twice for 14 yards. Vermillion had five carries for 13 yards, and Parker Newman rushed three times for seven yards.
Vermillion led the defense with four solo tackles and three assists, including one tackle for a loss. Cole Mueller had two solo and five assists. Brogdon had three solo and four assists, including a sack. Braden Marise had two solo and three assists.
