Terry Community Rallies to Restore Water Access to Terry Community Park

From the Sep 8, 2026 e-Edition

Residents and supporters of Terry Community Park are coming together to solve a critical issue  that has left local recreation grounds without running water. After the park’s primary water source was cut off, organizers launched a fundraising campaign aimed at funding the installation of a new well on the premises.

To help meet their goal, the community will host a Fundraiser Day on Saturday, September 12, 2026, directly at Terry Community Park. The family-friendly event will feature a wide range of activities, including a giant water slide, a bounce house, live music performance, and interactive games. Concession offerings will include barbecue, barbecue bologna, hamburgers, and hot dogs.

Park supporters emphasize that restoring water service is essential to maintaining basic amenities for children utilizing the playground, baseball fields, and soccer areas.

How to Support the Cause

For individuals interested in contributing to the well installation project, organizers have established several donation channels:

In Person / Direct Deposit: Cash or check donations can be dropped off directly at Carroll Bank & Trust.

Venmo: Digital contributions can be sent via Venmo to @Wanda-Tidwell-5 (verification phone digits: 0610).

Mail / Check: Checks should be made payable to The Terry Community Park (In Care of Wanda Tidwell) and mailed to:

Wanda Tidwell, 1445 Little Grove Road, Lavinia, TN 38348
