West Carroll Falls to Hollow-Rock Bruceton, 37-12

BRUCETON (September 11) — The West Carroll War Eagles traveled to Bruceton on Friday night. The War Eagles kept the game close in the first half, but the Tigers pulled away for a 37-12 final score.

Bruceton won the toss and elected to defer the opening kick to West Carroll. The War Eagles started their first drive at their own 35-yard line. Parker Newman kept the ball three times to pick up two first downs. Tiger Trent Brickman made the third-down stop, forcing West Carroll to punt.

Bruceton started its first drive at the West Carroll 24-yard line. Tiger Easton Bullington completed a pass to Carter Lowe for three yards. War Eagle Cole Mueller made the tackle to force fourth down, but the Tigers picked up the first down and moved the ball to the 11-yard line. Bullington then completed an 11-yard touchdown pass to Daegan Collins. The two-point conversion was good, making it Bruceton 8, West Carroll 0.

Bruceton kicked the ball to the War Eagles to start their second drive at their own 24-yard line as the first quarter ended. West Carroll fumbled, with Bruceton recovering at the 49-yard line. The Tigers marched down to the 12-yard line, where Korbin Brown ran for a 12-yard touchdown. The two-point conversion was good, making the score Bruceton 16, West Carroll 0.

West Carroll kicked the ball to the Tigers to start the second half, with Bruceton beginning its drive at the West Carroll 35-yard line. Collins ran for gains of 16 and eight yards before scoring on a 10-yard touchdown run three plays later. The extra point was good, making the score Bruceton 23, West Carroll 6.
