WEST CARROLL (November 20) — The West Carroll Special School District announced its newest round of students of the week from its primary, elementary and junior/senior high schools. The three students — Zelda Windom, Norah Reynolds and Taytum Jenkins — were each nominated for their kindness and hardworking attitudes.

Kindergarten student Zelda Windom is West Carroll Primary School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Brittany.

“Zelda is always kind, looking out for others, paying attention in class and working hard in everything she does,” said Ms. Brittany.

Sixth-grade student Norah Reynolds is West Carroll Elementary School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Marcia.

“Norah stands out not only for her academic excellence, but also for the respect, kindness and care she shows to others. Norah has a caring heart,” said Ms. Marcia.

Eleventh-grade student Taytum Jenkins is West Carroll Jr/Sr High School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Sally.

“Taytum demonstrates many of the qualities listed. She is always kind to others, willing to help with whatever is asked of her, and she is a great leader. Taytum got Bible club started. They meet on Wednesdays during break. She is a great example of a West Carroll Student,” said Ms. Sally.

The West Carroll Special School District also recognized West Carroll Elementary School third-grade and fifth-grade intervention teacher April Gonzales as teacher of the week.

West Carroll honors three students and one educator each week for their efforts in the classrooms.
