West Carroll Schools Spotlight Students of the Week

WEST CARROLL (December 2) — The West Carroll Special School District announced its newest round of students of the week from its primary, elementary and junior/senior high schools. The three students — Jack Simpson, Whitley White and Chandler Rimmer — were each nominated for their hard work and positive attitudes.

First grade student Jack Simpson is West Carroll Primary School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Daralyn Martin.

“Jack has a positive attitude and is always willing to help others,” said Martin.

Fourth grade student Whitley White is West Carroll Elementary School’s student of the week, nominated by Ms. Beth Hysmith.

“We are learning division and she has asked questions to understand the concept better and has been doing amazing at staying focused and getting her work done,” said Hysmith. “She’s been working incredibly hard, and her scores reflect this!”

Twelfth grade student Chandler Rimmer is West Carroll Jr/Sr High School’s student of the week, nominated by Mr. Pete Norville.

Rimmer played golf for Norville this year. Norville said Rimmer is “just a good kid.”

The West Carroll Special School District also recognized West Carroll Jr/Sr High School ninth- through twelfth-grade Human Services and Business Education teacher Erin Lewis as teacher of the week.

West Carroll honors three students and one educator each week for their efforts in the classroom.
