From the Dec 16, 2025 e-Edition
West Carroll Elementary School (WCES) faculty and staff continue to celebrate student achievement through the SOAR Awards program, which honors students who exemplify the school’s core values of safety, ownership, achievement and respect. The program recognizes students for academic effort, positive character and meaningful contributions to the school community.
For Week 13, fourth-grader Trinley White was recognized for earning the most Class Dojo points at WCES. Her teacher, Beth Hysmith, praised Trinley’s dedication.
“Trinley is an incredibly hard-working student whose drive to succeed is clear in her scores and behavior. She shows great kindness to her peers and is always willing to lend a helping hand,” said Hysmith.
During Week 14, fellow fourth-grader Hayley Argo earned the most Class Dojo points in the school, earning the SOAR Award.
“Hayley is an avid reader who is resolved to read 100 books this year,” said Hysmith. “She is a very hard worker in class and always has a positive attitude. She has made so much progress in her math skills and is determined to excel.”
Leylan Lawrence, a third-grade student, was nominated for both Weeks 13 and 14 by his teacher, Jennifer Kemp.
“Leylan shows outstanding effort and a positive attitude every day. He is a wonderful example of what it means to be a leader in our classroom,” Kemp said. “He demonstrates kindness, responsibility and enthusiasm for learning. We are proud to have him in our third-grade classes.”
West Carroll Elementary School faculty and staff congratulate these students for their achievements and thank them for modeling the values that help make the school community a place where all students can thrive.
