From the Nov 12, 2024 e-Edition
West Carroll Junior High announced a group of outstanding students recognized for their academic achievement on the CASE benchmark assessments.
West Carroll Junior High students who improved or met state projection by a number grade and those who earned the highest score in each subject were able to attend a private luncheon sponsored by Hometown Grocery and Deli in McLemoresville.
In addition, any student who showed improvement was awarded with a milkshake.
West Carroll congratulates all the students and thanks Hometown Grocery and Deli for their continued support of education in our community.
CASE benchmark assessments are language arts and math assessment tools for students in grades K–12 that measure academic progress and help teachers guide instruction. The assessments are aligned with Tennessee State Standards.
Teachers can use the assessment data to prepare students for standardized tests and ensure all students are on track to meet the standards.
