The Tennessee Department of Education, in collaboration with Belmont University, has announced the selection of 71 school leaders for the 2025-26 Tennessee Rural Principals Network (TRPN). Among those chosen is Dr. Jessica Williams, principal of West Carroll Elementary School.
The TRPN program unites principals from across the state to address the unique challenges and opportunities facing rural schools. Participants engage in professional learning designed to strengthen rural education, including strategies for high-quality instruction, teacher recruitment and retention and effective support for educators. The network also provides principals with opportunities to build meaningful relationships with other rural district leaders while accessing resources tailored to rural communities.
“I am honored to be selected for the Tennessee Rural Principals Network,” said Dr. Williams. “I am thankful for the opportunity to connect with other rural principals and grow as an instructional leader to support students, teachers and staff at West Carroll.”
Her selection highlights her role in educational excellence and leadership at West Carroll Elementary and in the wider community. West Carroll Elementary is proud of this achievement and confident that her participation will benefit both the school and the district. The school community congratulates Dr. Williams on this honor and looks forward to the perspectives and experiences she will share with students, staff and the community.
