West Carroll Spotlights Students of the Week
From the Apr 21, 2026 e-Edition
WEST CARROLL (April 16) — The West Carroll Special School District announced its newest round of students of the week from its primary, elementary and junior/senior high schools. The three students — Harlee Tidwell, Korben Womack and Trey Williamson — were each nominated for their leadership and determination in the classroom.
Kindergarten student Harlee Tidwell is West Carroll Primary School’s student of the week, nominated by Mrs. Malorie Jo Watkins.
“Harlee is well-behaved, smart and is ready for anything,” said Watkins. “She has started a pig business and has shared her knowledge during our unit on farms. Harlee is a natural leader. She is ready to help wherever needed whether it is tying shoes or helping someone with their work. She is an asset to our classroom!”
Third grade student Korben Womack is West Carroll Elementary School’s student of the week, nominated by Mrs. Lindsey Lindsay.
“Korben always comes to class excited and ready to learn. He’s eager to participate, and that eagerness is contagious to his peers,” said Lindsay.
Tenth-grade student Trey Williamson is West Carroll Jr/Sr High School’s student of the week, nominated by Mr. Jaxon Stringer.
“Trey is an exemplary model of an incredible student-athlete,” said Stringer. “He accomplishes every task put in front of him with dedication, whether that be inside or outside of the classroom. Trey is respected by his peers and teachers for his honesty, kindness and integrity. Most importantly, he has never backed down from a challenge. It is a privilege to see Trey grow into an exceptional young man, and he has a bright future ahead of him. Thank you for your leadership and for representing the best of West Carroll, Trey!”
The West Carroll Special School District also recognized West Carroll Primary School preschool teacher Mallory Smith as teacher of the week.
