Weatherford Named Mid-South Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (September 7) — Bethel University freshman Charli Weatherford of McKenzie was named the Mid-South Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week, conference officials announced Monday.
Weatherford earned the honor following a strong collegiate debut at the 2026 Eagles’ Open, where she finished eighth individually.
The McKenzie native recorded a three-round total of 232, shooting rounds of 77, 80 and 75. Her final-round 75 was her best score of the tournament and helped secure a top-10 finish in her first collegiate competition.
Weatherford also recorded three birdies during the tournament as Bethel finished runner-up in the eight-team field.
The recognition marks Weatherford’s first Mid-South Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week honor and comes in her first season competing for the Bethel Wildcats.
