West Carroll Primary Students Explore the World of Careers

McLemoresville, Tenn. (August 2026) — What do you want to be when you grow up? It is a question that students at WCP are beginning to explore in guidance classes through a K-2 Career Education curriculum titled, What’s Next?

Guided by Rocky, a fun and engaging character in the curriculum, students are learning about careers and the many different jobs people may have throughout their lives. With so many career choices in the world, students are beginning to discover how their own interests and strengths can help them find a career that may be right for them.

The week began with an exciting and interactive video titled “Who Am I?” Students had fun using clues to guess different careers while learning about the important roles people play in the workplace and their communities.

This week, students focused on two careers that may be especially appealing to those who enjoy working with numbers and solving problems. Through engaging lessons and activities, students are learning that math skills can open the door to a variety of future opportunities.
