West Carroll School Board to Meet
From the Aug 11, 2026 e-EditionATWOOD — The West Carroll Special School District (WCSSD) Board of Education meets Thursday, August 13 at 5:30 p.m. in the West Carroll Jr/Sr High School cafeteria. The board will discuss the following agenda items:
- Approve 26-27 Yearly Memberships (TSBA, TSSE, AIM'S and Sam's Club).
- WCSSD Field Trip List 2026-27.
- Resignation of John Morris.
- Discuss/Approve Fiscal Year 2026 WCSSD Budget Amendments.
- Discuss/Approve Fiscal Year 2027 Budget.
- West Carroll Elementary School Construction Update.
- Discuss/Approve Student Disciplinary Hearing Authority (DHA) – Six-member board chosen from the following alternates: Adam Douglas, Leslie Farmer, Brianna Rice, Crystal Polinski, Kellie Medina, Jaxon Stringer, Brandi Tolley, Jackie Wester and Jessica Williams.
- Discuss/Approve Consolidated Application for IDEA/ESSA grant
- Discuss/Approve Plasma Cutter Bids (Innovative School Models Grant)
- Discuss/Approve WCSSD Policy 5.3052 Local COVID-19
- Discuss/Approve Policies on Second Reading: 1.804 Alcohol and Drugs in the Workplace, 2.400 Revenues, 5.114 Personnel Records, 5.200 Separation Practices for Tenure Teachers, 5.201 Separation Practices for Non-Tenure Teachers, 5.202 Separation Practices for Non-Certified Employees, 5.302 Sick Leave, 5.400 Personnel Health Examinations/Communicable Diseases, 5.403 Drug and Alcohol Testing for Employees, 5.606 Political Activities, 5.608 Tutoring for Pay, 5.800 Director of Schools and 6.411 Student Wellness.
