West Tennessee Healthcare Announces Plans to Bring Labor and Delivery Back to Henry County

PARIS, Tenn. - Babies will once again be delivered at WTH Henry County Hospital. West Tennessee Healthcare announced plans to bring labor and delivery services back to the hospital, with a goal of welcoming the first deliveries in spring 2027.

The return of labor and delivery marks an important milestone for WTH Henry County Hospital and the community it serves. West Tennessee Medical Group has recruited an additional

physician to join the Women’s Health team in Paris, an important step in preparing for the return of labor and delivery services at the hospital.

“This is an exciting day for WTH Henry County Hospital and for our entire community,” said Paula Bell, CEO of WTH Henry County Hospital. “We know how much having labor and

delivery here means to the families we serve. There is something special about being able to welcome a new baby right here at home, and we are incredibly excited to be working toward

bringing that opportunity back to Henry County.”

As part of this next chapter for women’s healthcare in Henry County, Inspire Women’s Health will soon become West Tennessee Medical Group Women’s Health. Patients will continue to receive care from the local team they know, now under the West Tennessee Medical Group

name. The practice provides care for women throughout Henry County and the surrounding area.

The addition of another physician will expand the team and help prepare for the return of deliveries at WTH Henry County Hospital.

For West Tennessee Healthcare, bringing labor and delivery back to Henry County is part of a continued commitment to the hospital and the community it serves.

West Tennessee Healthcare is working toward resuming labor and delivery services at WTH Henry County Hospital in spring 2027. Additional information about the new physician and the return of services will be shared as plans are finalized. We will also let the community know as soon as we are ready to begin scheduling new obstetric appointments.
