From the Jan 6, 2026 e-EditionHUNTINGDON — Mr. Willard Ellis, 95, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, died Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Lifecare Center of Bruceton.
Funeral services are in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00 PM, with Bro. Philip Halter officiating. Burial will follow at Carroll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Pallbearers who will serve are Jonathan Ellis, Luke Lemons, John Butler, and Brandon Johns.
Mr. Ellis was born January 18, 1930, in Holladay, Tennessee to the late Leonard Clayton Ellis and Lula Bell Noles Ellis. He was a welder for the Milan Arsenal and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ellis, his second wife, Mary Butonne Ellis, a brother, Leonard Ellis, and two sisters, Mary Lee Noles and Clarice Allen.
He is survived by two sons, Craig Ellis (Angie) of Gibson, Trent Ellis (Lynn) of Buena Vista, and a sister, Etta Lou Wilks, of Bruceton. He also leaves three grandchildren, Jonathan Ellis (Lisa), Rachel Lemons (Luke), Chris Matlock, and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Rebekah, and Emily.
