William “Bill” Moore

McKENZIE,  Tenn. — Funeral services for William “Bill” Moore are on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Cairo Cemetery, Alamo, Tenn.

 Mr. Moore, 88, died at his residence on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

He was born on May 4, 1937, in Steele, Missouri, to William Roy and Earlene Whitaker Moore. A graduate of Harding University, Mr. Moore was a devoted member of McKenzie Church of Christ. He retired after 28 years with Watson Hardware House in Huntingdon and previously owned Moore’s Ace Hardware in Caruthersville, Missouri, before moving to Tennessee. He will be remembered for his dedication to his work and his community.

 He is survived by his wife Carolyn Moore of McKenzie, two daughters, Lisa and Randy Jackson of Bentonville, Arkansas and Laura and Graham Gillis of Conway, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, Mary Beth and Andrew Polk, Reece and Ellen Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Stuart Jackson, Drew and Lindsay Gillis, Jennifer and Tyler Eatherton Kelley Gillis and five great-grandchildren,  Mrs. Carolyn's children, Mark and Lois Colvett, Jeff and Becky Colvett, John and Joy Colvett and Sherra and Randy Jackson and seven grandchildren, Ashley and Jarrett Qualls, Amy Grave Colvett, Alli Colvett, Paige Colvett, and Hayden Colvett

 He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Lou Moore.
