William “Bill” Wayne Story

Funeral services for William “Bill” Wayne Story are Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Brummitt McKenzie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10 a.m. until service time.  A private burial at the Tenn. State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads will follow.

Mr. Story, 76, died at his residence on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was a retired journeyman electrician, an Army veteran, and a 1967 graduate of Greenfield High School. He was born in McKenzie on January 1, 1949, to the late Willie “Bill” Lee Story and Marcell McGehee Story.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Doris Gendreau Story, his siblings, Ronnie (Kay) Story of McKenzie, Carol (Tim) Pugh of Atwood, Regina Story of Atwood, and Lisa (Kevin) Flippin of McKenzie, and a host of nieces and nephews.
