From the Jun 25, 2024 e-EditionMr. William “Billy” Szalay, 66, of Huntingdon, Tennessee died Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Jack Smith officiating. Burial was in Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Szalay was born on December 3, 1957, in Nashville, to Arthur and Geraldine Farrah Szalay. He worked in construction for Republic Builders. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Cindy Szalay, three daughters, Christal Reed (Robert), Billie Cobb, and Kimberly Jackson (Edward) all of Huntingdon, a sister, Arlene Reynolds, of Athens, Georgia, a brother, Jimmy Szalay (Faye), of Memphis, and three grandchildren, Hunter Reed, Ty Reed, and Hannah Jackson.
