McKENZIE (May 6) — On Tuesday, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler delivered a State of the County Address to the McKenzie Rotary Club. Butler explained that Carroll County is in good financial shape and is in the final stages of preparation for presenting the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget. Butler was elected as Carroll County Mayor in 2018. more

McKENZIE (May 9) — On Thursday two things happened regarding Broadway Street: the one-way street sign was removed temporarily allowing two-way travel on the street; and during the meeting of the McKenzie City Council, Ordinance 569 to convert Broadway to a one-way street passed its first of two readings. more

HUNTINGDON (May 4) — The Carroll County Sports Hall of Fame Board of Directors inducted its twenty-second class of members during a celebration on Saturday, May 4 at the Carroll County Civic Center. Nine members were inducted and 10 high school seniors were recognized for their athletic and academic accomplishments. more

McKENZIE (April 26) — On Friday, Ashley Howell, executive director of the Tennessee State Museum along with former State Representative Steve McDaniel, presented a $14,700 check to the Gordon Browning Museum in McKenzie. The grants comes as part of a larger $5 million appropriation approved by members of the General Assembly for the Tennessee State Museum in the 2023-24 state budget. more
