McKENZIE (November 27) — It was final tests week at Bethel University for the Fall 2023 seminar. A night of fun honored the students with a late-evening pancake, sausage, and dessert meal. Bethel President Walter Butler along with faculty and staff members prepared and served the students. more
McKENZIE (December 19) — On Tuesday, the McKenzie Rotary paid homage to Dr. Walter Butler, retiring president of Bethel University. Rotary President Jason R. Martin thanked Dr. Butler not only for his service to Bethel University but also to McKenzie, Carroll County and especially to Rotary. more

Monday is Top Spotify Band/Artist; Tuesday is “Party in the USA by Miley Cyrus-USA Day;” Wednesday, “Work” by Rihanna - dress up as what you want to be when you grow up; Thursday “Deja Vu” by Olivia Rodrigo - decade day, throwback to your favorite decade; Friday - “Get Your Head in the Game”--High School Musical - wear red and gray. more

The McKenzie High School Alumni Association held its first official meeting Thursday, June 8, in the McKenzie High School Theater. Brad Camp, Class of 1983, led the meeting and reviewed the organizations new bylaws and committees. Attendees were urged to sign in via a Google Form where they inputted their names, email addresses and phone numbers for contact. They also answered when they graduated from McKenzie High School, their involvement in school organizations, and if they would be interested in joining a committee. more
HUNTINGDON (October 14) — It was a magical night at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center when Exile performed their greatest hits. Sixty years ago, the band formed and started playing - and haven’t stopped. While other bands are on their farewell tours, Exile still produces their magic with an enduring sound of great hits. more

After a series of tornadoes hit West Tennessee on December 11, 2021, Carey Counseling Center responded to local communities and schools. The organization sent social workers and licensed counselors to help children and families learn how to cope and talk through their concerns and anxieties following the natural disaster. more
