HUNTINGDON (July 26) — After some animated discussion regarding Mayor Dale Kelley’s recommendation of Angela DeMaris to become executive director of the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center, the council voted 4-3 to approve her for the position. DeMaris was serving as Director of Operations but had also been unofficially doing the theater director’s duties as well after Lori Nolen resigned. TENNESSEE (November 20) — Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have fallen 2.7 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.90/g today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 18.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 27.3 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
