The official Walk Across Tennessee Results for Carroll County are in! This challenge was held by the Carroll County UT Extension office September 18-November 12, 2023. There were 11 teams of six that participated this year, and they each worked hard to reach their physical activity goals. All together, the teams walked 12,237.96 miles over eight weeks. That’s the equivalent of walking across Tennessee almost 25 times! more

McKENZIE (November 28) — Ford’s Blue Oval -SK Battery project in the west Tennessee community of Stanton will be operational in 2025 and employing thousands of workers throughout the region. It is slated to assemble 500,000 electric trucks annually. While the main assembly plant is in Stanton, thousands of jobs will be scattered in communities throughout of west Tennessee. more

CHATTANOOGA (December 1) — On Friday afternoon, the McKenzie Rebels made their fourth appearance in the BlueCross Bowl. After claiming the championship in 2022, the Rebels fell short 14-7 to the South Pittsburg Pirates on Friday after a hard fought game that was scoreless until the third quarter when a Jake Cassidy touchdown put the Rebels on the board. This was the third meeting of the two programs all of which have gone in favor of the Pirates. more

HUNTINGDON (November 28) — On Tuesday night, Huntingdon High School welcomed Union City for a pair of basketball games. The Huntingdon Fillies improved to 5-1 on the season with a 63-43 win over the Golden Tornadoes, while the Mustangs dropped to 1-4 with a 75-56 loss. more
