HUNTINGDON (May 18) — On Thursday, the Carroll County Budget Committee made the final adjustments to the 2023-24 Fiscal Year Budget. The total estimated budget for the general fund is $15,175,589 with an estimated revenue of $15,484,885 producing a positive net of $309,296 to be placed in reserves. According to Commissioner and Budget Chairman Darrell Ridgely, the budget was procured without raising taxes. He added that no one is probably 100% satisfied with the budget but through negotiations and numerous meetings, compromises were reached. more
