Ballots Set for County, School Board Races

CARROLL COUNTY (February 19) — Petitions are in, and ballots are locked for the May 5 primary and August 6 general county and school board elections. The deadline for any interested candidates — party-affiliated or independent — running for county or school board seats was February 19 at noon.
Certified write-ins for any county or school board seat may be submitted to the Carroll County Election Commission for a short period of time.
The City of Clarksburg municipal election is also August 6, 2026. Interested candidates must submit completed petitions by March 10 at noon to qualify for the Clarksburg municipal race.
Carroll County Election Commission Deputy Administrator Jennifer Hilliard provided the following list of qualified candidates for the May 5 primary and August 6 general election on February 19 at 3:40 p.m.:

Other offices on the August 6 primary midterm election ballot are David Kustoff’s U.S. Congressional District 8 seat, Bill Hagerty’s U.S. Senate seat, Bill Lee’s Tennessee Governor seat, Tandy Darby’s Tennessee House of Representatives District 76 seat and Brock Martin’s Tennessee House of Representatives District 79 seat.
Brock Martin (R) has filed a petition to for re-election to his House of Representatives District 79 seat.
