The Dixie Announces 2026 Summer Camp Lineup

The Dixie Carter PAC is proud to announce its 2026 Summer Camps, offering creative experiences for students and adults. From photography and visual arts to theater, cultural exploration, and pottery, these camps spark imagination and provide hands-on learning in an inspiring environment.
With programs for a range of ages and skill levels, The Dixie’s Summer Camps connect participants with experienced instructors to explore new creative outlets or deepen existing passions.
This year’s Summer Camp lineup includes:
• PHOTOGRAPHY FOR STUDENTS — May 25-29 and June 29-July 3 — K-12th Grade — Discover creative photography in this fun, hands-on camp. Learn to see beyond the lens, capture unique images, and grow your skills. No experience needed. Cameras provided. Instructors: Jim and Carol Veneman.
• PHOTOGRAPHY FOR ADULTS — May 28-30 — Create powerful photos by blending creativity, perspective, and skill. This hands-on camp challenges all levels to see differently and grow - just bring your own camera or phone. Instructors: Jim and Carol Veneman.
• ART — June 15-19 — 4th-12th Grade — Explore art through hands-on 2D and 3D projects using paint, printmaking, collage, and sculpture. Build skills, take creative risks, and find your artistic voice in a fun, inspiring space. Instructor: Laura DeVille.
• PASSPORT TO FRANCE: THE ULTIMATE FRENCH CULTURE MASH-UP! — June 15-19 — 3rd-7th Grade — Immerse in French culture through art, food, and games. Paint Monet-inspired scenes, create cave art, cook French treats, and play pétanque in this engaging cultural experience. Instructor: Megan Russler.
• STORYMAKERS: FROM IDEA TO THE STAGE — June 22–26 — 4th-8th Grade — Every great story starts with a spark. Students build an original play through improv, storytelling, character creation, and performance - then bring it to life on stage. Instructor: Kara Kindall.
• POTTERY — July 27-31 — K-12th Grade — Explore the endless possibilities of clay at Mudslingers. Students create age-specific projects, build foundational skills, and gain confidence while making unique ceramic art. Instructors: Hannah Kyle and Mary Glenys Espey.

Scholarship opportunities are available for Carroll County students, with applications closing May 15. Applications can be requested through The Dixie’s Box Office by phone or email at boxoffice@dixiepac.net. Scholarship decisions will be shared by or before June 1.
