Jill Holland Announces Candidacy for McKenzie City Council
From the Sep 10, 2024 e-Edition
I am running for the McKenzie City Council on November 5.
West Tennessee is on the verge of tremendous growth, and we must work together to position McKenzie to be at the center of positive growth which will benefit all of our citizens.
I am a McKenzie native and an alumna of McKenzie High School. I have almost 30 years of government experience serving on the McKenzie School Board, City Council, Mayor and numerous state boards and commissions.
My present job is working with the economic development team at the Southwest TN Development District as the Local Government and Special Projects Coordinator. I work directly with 35 city mayors, 8 county mayors, economic development specialists, and our legislators to promote and prepare their communities for economic growth and success.
My purpose in running for the McKenzie City Council is not for political ambition, but to work together, to serve, and to help McKenzie achieve positive growth and prosperity in all areas. We must work with each other and promote the resources that are the anchors of our community including our retail, industry, churches, school system, Webb School, Bethel University and especially our citizens.
I want the opportunity to give back and use my experience and what I have learned to serve and help McKenzie in any way I can to see our community grow and prosper for ALL our citizens.
I would be honored to have your vote and support in this journey to make McKenzie a better place for everyone.
If you have any questions, please call or email me at: jholland52@gmail.com / 731-697-3293.
