McKENZIE (May 7) — A McKenzie man is facing serious criminal charges of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Possession of a Firearm During Commission of Dangerous Felony, after he engaged in an online conversation and lured an underage Florida female to come to McKenzie.

Terry Alexander Jaeger, Jr., 35, Paris Street, McKenzie, was arrested and transported to Carroll County Jail on a $801,000 bond. His vehicle, handgun, and all electronics were seized at the request of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

According to a report by MPD Sergeant Investigator Kyle Beauchamp, a special agent with the FBI contacted him about a 15-year-old female missing from the North Miami, Florida area. During the FBI’s investigation, they learned that the juvenile had contacted Jaeger through social media.

MPD Chief Ryan White, Sergeant Kyle Beauchamp, Sergeant Austin Jones, Patrolman Timothy Dillon and Patrolman Dalton Raspberry went to the Paris Street residence to investigate. Jaeger first stated that no one else was at the residence. The report indicated Jaeger appeared very nervous. Officers requested permission to search the home, but Jaeger asked if they had a search warrant. Officers explained that the FBI had intercepted messages between Jaeger and the juvenile female, who had received money from Jaeger to leave the state of Florida.

While at the scene, Chief Ryan White read Jaeger his Miranda rights, and Officer Beauchamp phoned the FBI special agent. Jaeger reportedly admitted that the female was on the premises. After the suspect signed a Consent to Search form, officers entered the home. The juvenile was taken into custody and placed with the Department of Children’s Services.

Photographs of the female juvenile were found during the search. Both Jaeger and the juvenile admitted that those were photos of her, partially naked. Jaeger admitted he traveled to Georgia to pick up the juvenile female. In his possession during the trip was a loaded handgun.

Jaeger was transported to Carroll County Jail.
