Million-Dollar Ticket Sold at Huck’s in Huntingdon
From the Oct 22, 2024 e-Edition
HUNTINGDON (October 21) — The Tennessee Lottery’s newest millionaire picked her winning Powerball numbers with her brother, who has passed away, in mind. “All of the numbers I pick to play are related to him,” said Charissa A. of Huntingdon, who won one-million dollars by matching five Powerball numbers drawn on October 12, 2024.
“I think of him all the time,” she said while claiming the big prize at the Lottery’s Nashville headquarters last week with her family.
Charissa plans to pay off her house and other debts in addition to saving and adding even more fun to what is already a festive annual Halloween display at her home.
She purchased the lucky ticket at Huck’s Food & Fuel, 23 Veterans Drive N. in Huntingdon.
Charissa’s big prize was just part of the $21,655,980 paid in Tennessee Lottery prizes statewide during last week, October 13-19, 2024.
