National EMS Week is May 18-24

According to the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), the week is a time to show our gratitude toward EMTs and paramedics who provide lifesaving care across the nation every day.
EMS Week is also a time to educate the public about EMS, and the essential service it provides to communities.
This year’s theme is “We Care. For Everyone.” NAEMT partners with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) on EMS Week to encourage the nationwide recognition of EMS Week and contributions of EMS professionals.
Community organizations, schools and individuals can show appreciation for paramedics and EMTs by writing thank you notes or dropping off food items. Reach out to your local EMS agency and ask what they would most appreciate, and when is a good time to drop off items and potentially meet a few crew members.
Each day of EMS Week focuses on a specific aspect of emergency medical services:
Sunday, May 18: Health, Wellness, and Resilience Day
Monday, May 19: EMS Education Day
Tuesday, May 20: EMS Safety Day
Wednesday, May 21: EMS for Children Day
Thursday, May 22: Save-A-Life Day (Community Blood Drive, CPR & National Stop the Bleed Day)
Friday, May 23: EMS Recognition Day
Saturday, May 24: EMS Remembrance Day
