Along with the Hall of Fame inductees, the Senior Bowl has chosen Kansas City Chiefs center Creed Humphrey as 2021 Rookie of the Year. NASHVILLE — Road Construction will not delay motorists as they travel Tennessee’s highways this Memorial Day weekend. The Tennessee Department of Transportation will suspend all construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes beginning at noon on Friday, May 27 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31. This will provide maximum roadway capacity for motorists expected to travel in the state this Memorial Day weekend. more
HENRY COUNTY — An innovative asphalt grinding and paving operation is in progress between McKenzie and Paris on U.S. 79 (S.R. 76).  In one operation, Dustrol, Inc. of Kansas removes the top layer of asphalt, conditions it and reapplies it. more
HUNTINGDON (September 29) — Carroll County Electric Department now has an established monthly rate for electricity used at commercial electric vehicle charging stations. The rate is approximately 25 cents per kilowatt-hour, including the base rate and any demand surcharges for the fast-charging stations. more

Average gasoline prices in Tennessee have fallen 2.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.69/gallon,  according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,821 stations in Tennessee. Prices in Tennessee are 39.1 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 27.8 cents per gallon lower than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has fallen 8.6 cents in the last week and stands at $4.68 per gallon. more
