MEMPHIS (June 20) — The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook continuing until Sunday due to the elevated temperatures and high humidity in the forecast. The NWS also warns of elevated fire risk in the area this week. Heat Advisories may become necessary again as heat indices approach or exceed 105 degrees each day beginning Tuesday. more

HUNTINGDON — Two rising-seniors at Huntingdon High School attended the American Legion Boys State in Cookeville this summer. The week-long event trains young men in government and about history. more
The MHS Softball Team celebrated it’s 2022 season with a year-end banquet at the high school cafeteria Thursday evening, June 9. After a meal of barbecue and chicken with the fixings catered by Big Daddy’s, Softball Head Coach Kristi Brown kicked things off with a review of the season expressing how good the team chemistry was with everyone working together. more

HUNTINGDON (June 10) — Friday, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce held a grand opening and ribbon cutting for Tri Star Family Health Care in Huntingdon. Visitors enjoyed snacks and could enter a drawing for coupons from 1822 Coffee Co. or Wild Roots Plants in Huntingdon. more
