The McKenzie Garden Club met on Friday, October 28, at the Lakeside Senior Living Community and hosted by members Donna Herrin and Donna Hodge. Donna Hodge gave the devotional on the importance of speaking gently instead of in anger. Thirteen members answered the roll call and member, Mona Batchelor, introduced her guest, Karen Forester. HUNTINGDON (November 13) — The Carroll County Commission met Monday, November 13. The topic of interest for the night dealt mainly with Carroll County’s emergency services. During the citizens’ forum, Jan Ostiguy asked questions regarding Carroll County’s future plans to address the needs of emergency services and who is involved in the decision-making process. She added that once the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) money is no longer available how will the county pursue the necessary upgrades to emergency equipment and asked for commissioners to respond to the questions instead of letting them go by the wayside. more
