HUNTINGDON (January 2, 5) — Tuesday evening the Huntingdon Mustangs and Fillies welcomed Martin-Westview for a non-district match-up. As defending state champions, the Lady Chargers arrived with a 12-1 record and led 35-27 at halftime. The Fillies battled back in the second half to win by four, 61-57. Leading scorer Lilly Kee surpassed 1,500 points in her high school career by posting 24 points, plus four blocked shots. Quinn Kelley followed by 12, Delaney Byars 10, Annabelle Singleton 8, Sara Beth Smith 4, and Josey Stokes 3. McKENZIE (November 12) — The No. 4 Bethel University Wildcats became the first Bethel team in modern day program history to win 11 games in a season and be undefeated at that mark. McKENZIE (November 28) — Ford’s Blue Oval -SK Battery project in the west Tennessee community of Stanton will be operational in 2025 and employing thousands of workers throughout the region. BENTON, Ky. (December 20, 21) — The Huntingdon Mustangs opened the FNB Holiday Classic tournament against the hosting school the Marshall County Marshals. The Mustangs were defeated 75-42 by the Marshals moving to the consolation bracket. Huntingdon then faced the Christian County Colonels.
