Driving on Revoked, Speeding — Amber M. Hillard, 36, of Huntingdon, was arrested on April 7, for Driving on a Suspended License. Officer Townes initiated a traffic stop when the radar picked up Hilliard driving 72 in a 55-mph speed zone. A computer check confirmed Hillard had a suspended license. more

McKENZIE (November 11) — McKenzie Rebels are 12-0 on the season after their defeat of Moore County on Friday, November 11. The Rebels play Fayetteville at Rebel Stadium on Friday. Both teams are 12-0. Fayetteville defeated Dresden, 42-17, to advance to the quarterfinals. There are eight teams statewide remaining in Class 1A playoffs. more

McKENZIE (May 11, 2023) — McKenzie High School soccer team claimed the District 13-1A championship on Thursday in a home contest against Martin Westview. McKenzie defeated Westview 4-0. more
The Carroll County Library hosts multiple educational events to promote activity and reading to children (and adults) this June and July. This year’s Summer Reading Program theme, chosen by the Collaborative Summer Library Program, is “All Together Now,” which advocates kindness, unity and friendship among library-goers. more

LINDEN (September 29) — The McKenzie Rebels wrapped up a five-week road revue picking up their sixth win on the season as they dominated the Perry County Vikings 57-7. The Rebels traveled to Linden for the week seven Region 6-1A win moving to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in the region. more
