Theft — According to a report made by Deputy Heather Townes, on September 24, deputies responded to a call from a worker at Clay Hill Motor Sports in Atwood regarding a male being on the property and hiding behind a tractor. The defendant was Jonathan Sullivan, 32, of Atwood, who did not have permission to be on the property. Many items were stolen from the property at Clay Hill Motor Sports.

Driving on Revoked, Suspended DL — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 11, Michael C. Hollowell, 60, of Huntingdon, was operating a four-wheeler on Paris St. Michaels driver’s license are revoked for prior DUI. He was taken to jail for driving on a revoked license.

Simple Possession, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia — According to a report made by Officer Brad Allen on September 7, he stopped a vehicle on Buena Vista Road that was being operated by Vasquez Yarbough, 64, of Huntingdon, because he had an active warrant on Mr. Yarbrough for Criminal Simulation. During the traffic stop Mr. Yarbrough gave consent to search through the vehicle. During the search, marijuana was found inside a Swisher Sweet package that weighed about 1 gram. Yarbough was transported to Carroll County Jail for Marijuana Possession and Criminal Simulation. On September 6, Officer Allen was dispatched to Murphy for someone passing a fake $100 bill. Upon arrival he saw Yarbrough hand a fake $100 bill to the cashier on video footage.

Driving on Revoked, Suspended, Driver’s License — According to a report made by Officer Jonathan McDowell, on August 21, he was on patrol on Hwy 22 South when he clocked a black Yukon traveling 69 mph in a 55-mph zone on radar. He made a traffic stop on Summer Springer, 28, when he found out she had a Suspended Driver’s License. She was charged with Driving on Revoked and Speeding.

Counterfeiting/Forgery — According to a report made by Deputy Eric Sawyers, on August 24, Dollar General reported that an unknown male passed five $100 bills on August 24, and the bills were counterfeit. The subject had loaded a card in the store for $500 and gave the clerk five counterfeit bills. Video was obtained and the same subject had passed six $100 counterfeit bills at the Dollar General Bruceton on the same date. The same individual is caught on camera in Subway at Huntingdon and Dollar General using counterfeit money. After a thorough investigation, the police department found that there were two subjects using these counterfeit bills, Jonathan Alexander Hayden and Evans Devon Pelt from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Warrants have been issued.
