Bethel/Eastside FCE Meeting Minutes
From the Aug 26, 2025 e-EditionThe August meeting was called to order by our president, Gail Eubanks.
The devotion was led by our hostess for the month, Judy Roberts, who used Ephesians 5:20 from the devotional book “The Upper Room”, focusing on “Gratitude.” The club collect was recited by our president, and roll call was answered by five members and three visitors. Ms. Patsy Smith, Kirstin Roberts, and Amanda Hollingshead were invited to our meeting by Judy Roberts, and we were glad to have them.
The roll call question was, “What is something you would like to learn?” Most members expressed a desire to improve their skills in various areas.
The minutes from the last meeting were read and approved, and the treasury report was presented and accepted.
Gail Eubanks will bake cakes for the nursing home this month. A reminder was given that our soup luncheon has been rescheduled from October 17 to October 24.
We discussed our upcoming picnic in September and unanimously agreed to go to the Farm House in Lexington. We will meet at the Mays home on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. to carpool to the restaurant.
A new service project was proposed to create Chemo Care Kits for Baptist Hospice, which needs assistance with supplies. The club voted to purchase $50 worth of supplies to be delivered to Suite E.
The County Council meeting is scheduled for September 10.
Our educational program was hosted by Judy Roberts, who invited Amanda Hollingshead to speak. Ms. Hollingshead discussed homeopathic medicines. She uses a machine that tests the body for imbalances and can identify which herbs, vitamins, or minerals are needed. Herbs help escort toxins out of the body, and a session with her typically lasts one and a half hours, providing insights into your body’s needs.
Please note that there is no hostess assigned for the picnic month.
