Full Moon
From the Jul 15, 2025 e-EditionDo you think Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) was talking about a full moon when they wrote “Bad Moon Rising?” I can see how a full moon would inspire someone to write a cautionary tale.
Full moons are wild, they pull at the tides and if you’ve ever been a teacher or first responder, you know they affect people too.
Friday felt worse than Thursday. Which makes me wonder, what if the effects of a full moon are like the wake behind a passing ship? Doesn’t feel like much when the ship is beside you, but after it passes it shakes everything up.
That is how last Friday felt. In the morning, I asked Jason, “do you feel that?” The kids were wild, work was hectic, everything felt... chaotic.
I’ve heard teachers say that on days when it’s a full moon, the crazy feels... airborne.
The last few full moons have been memorable. I really hope this pattern ends soon.
Editor’s Note: As someone who has been diagnosed with ADHD, I’m just as crazy as the rest of y’all, so calm down. Use of the word “Crazy” is not meant to disparage anyone. However, you should know you are not alone, help is available, and you should always choose life and your health. Stay safe.
