Gleason City to Install New Security Cameras
From the Sep 23, 2025 e-Edition
GLEASON (September 15) — Gleason Board of Mayor and Council had a light agenda with no actionable items on which to vote.
Mayor Charles Anderson, Councilman James Hines and Councilman Mike Stafford were in attendance while Shawn Francisco and Mike Bennett were absent.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Lowe reported the city’s matching grant for the replacement of security cameras on city-owned property is allowing the city to replace existing cameras and install cameras in new locations at city-owned facilities.
The city is also utilizing a Tennessee Highway Safety Office grant that pays the city $50 per man-hour for extra patrols for traffic enforcement.
During the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Charles Anderson invited Wylan Gustafson to lead the Pledge. Gustafson is a Gleason High School senior who joined the Tennessee National Guard. He is a member of the Gleason football team.
