ATWOOD (September 20) — Homecoming week at West Carroll Junior/Senior High School began with an exciting game of powder puff football. Seniors organized the event, which brought students together for friendly competition and community spirit while raising money for the Class of 2026 Project Graduation.

The afternoon included a lively flag football game for students from all grades. Their classmates cheered for them, showing great school spirit. The event also served as an opportunity to raise funds.

Guests enjoyed performances by the WC Youth Cheer team and the school’s own powder puff cheer squad. Other activities included an “Eats and Treats” silent auction and a dunking booth with school administrators and coaches.

Principal Adam Douglas said, “Homecoming is a special time for pride, fun and bringing our school family together. The powder puff game is a fantastic way to start the week and show the amazing spirit of our West Carroll students.”

The freshman team, coached by Spencer Long, won the game. Tatum Perry, Kinsley Poff, Marissa Mueller, Chloe Rimmer, Triniti Adkisson and Abbi O’Bryan were key players in their success.

The senior class expressed thanks to everyone who attended, participated and contributed, saying their support helped create a strong sense of community.
