Roditis Speaks About Service with Rotary
From the Oct 14, 2025 e-Edition
McKENZIE (October 7) — Members of the McKenzie Rotary Club recently heard fellow Rotarian Sandi Stafford Roditis discuss her service with the international service organization, represented by the local club.
Roditis is the longest-serving female member of the club and ranks as the fourth-longest-serving member overall, following Ed Perkins, who has served for 65 years, Dr. Scott Spivey, and Joel Washburn. She joined the local service club in 2006 and has previously held the position of club president. Currently, she is a member of the annual auction committee.
Sandi is the owner and broker of Nicky Joe Stafford Real Estate. Together with her husband, Spiros, she dedicates many hours to volunteering in the community, particularly in schools and other local projects.
Her presentation focused on “Women in Rotary.” The club was originally an all-male organization until Rotary International amended its policies to include women. McKenzie Rotary was the first club in District 6760, which serves Middle and West Tennessee, to induct a female member. This historic moment included the induction of Dee Ann Perkins, followed by Gail Webb West. Today, the 45-member club has 17 female members.
Sandi emphasized that the local service club comprises members from diverse backgrounds and professions, fostering strong relationships and a robust sense of community pride and service. The club’s members work together to enhance and support their community, utilizing their individual gifts and talents.
In recent years, the club has made significant efforts to improve its service to local education and assist those less fortunate in the community.
The club includes professionals from various fields as well as retired members, all of whom provide valuable insights and service.
Roditis said the local club has embraced her service in the club.
